Figure presents a virtual experimental problem for determining the velocity of a bullet using a spring pendulum. The virtual installation of the experimental problem consists of a spring pendulum of a given mass and rigidity. With the help of an electronic gun a bullet of a given mass is shoots through the body of the pendulum. After an inelastic impact the pendulum starts to making harmonic oscillations the amplitude of which is determined by a ruler that can be called and placed in the desired position. The installation is controlled by an electronic unit containing a stopwatch and the buttons described in the previous installation. For a more complete acquaintance with the laws of harmonic oscillations the installation is provided with an animation of the values of the potential and kinetic energies of the pendulum and a plot of the displacement of the pendulum from the equilibrium position as a function of time. The key points of the virtual experimental work are accompanied by sounds effects: the control buttons, the sounds of the shot and the recharge of the electronic gun.
